Rental terms for online bookings
For the temporary use of our event spaces. The details of each individual booking supplement these rental terms.
We want booking and using our spaces to be as simple and unbureaucratic for you as possible. So that everything runs smoothly and we can rely on each other, we still need a few binding rules.
1 Booking and payment
The booking agreement sets out the booked room, the purpose of use, the date, the times of use, the agreed total price and any additional services. You may use the rooms for the agreed purpose. Letting them to other organisers requires our prior consent.
We reserve your date for two weeks from receipt of our reservation confirmation, which states the exact payment date and payment details. The rent must reach us in full within that period; for regular bookings, the payment for the first month. The rental contract becomes binding once payment arrives on time. We confirm the booking to you by email. If payment does not arrive on time, the reservation lapses and we release the date again.
If the event starts within those two weeks, we agree a shorter payment period with you in advance. For further months of regular bookings, payment dates are set separately.
If the times you would like differ from those offered in the booking system, please contact us directly. We will do our best to find a solution that works for you.
2 Cancellations and changes of date
Please send cancellations or requested changes of date by email to the contact address named in the booking agreement. For the cancellation deadline, what counts is when your cancellation reaches us. The deadlines are measured from the agreed start of the event; for multi-day events, from the start of the first day. The type of booking stated in the booking agreement applies.
Full-day and multi-day events
- At least one month before: no cancellation costs.
- Less than one month but at least two weeks before: 50% of the agreed room rent.
- Less than two weeks before: 100% of the agreed room rent.
Half-day events
- At least two weeks before: no cancellation costs.
- Less than two weeks but at least one week before: 50% of the agreed room rent.
- Less than one week before: 100% of the agreed room rent.
A month is a calendar month; a week is seven calendar days.
We refund payments already made, minus any cancellation costs. We deduct expenses we save and income from letting the space to someone else for the same period. You remain free to prove that we suffered no loss or a significantly smaller one. The percentages above apply to the room rent only; additional services are agreed separately.
For hourly or regularly recurring bookings, we agree the cancellation terms separately before the contract is concluded. For regular bookings we also set the term and the options for ending it. Moving to another date is possible by arrangement and subject to availability. Statutory rights of withdrawal, rescission and termination remain unaffected.
3 Times of use, setup and teardown
The booked rental period also covers setup, teardown and cleaning. Please allow enough time for these and hand the rooms back by the end of the agreed rental period at the latest. Earlier use or an extension is only possible by prior arrangement.
4 Cleaning and handover
Please leave the rooms tidy and clean. Used dishes must be washed and put back, tables wiped, and anything you brought along and all rubbish taken away. Unless agreed otherwise, please also put tables and chairs back.
We may charge you additional cleaning costs in accordance with the statutory provisions if you culpably fail to meet your cleaning obligations. Only necessary, reasonable and documented costs are charged.
5 Care, damage and insurance
Please treat our rooms and equipment with care and tell us straight away about any damage. Changes to the rooms or equipment, in particular nails, hooks and fixings on walls, are only allowed with our prior consent.
You are liable for damage in accordance with the statutory provisions. Normal wear and tear from the agreed use is excluded. Our own liability is also governed by the statutory provisions.
We recommend that you take out event organiser liability insurance and check whether damage to the rented rooms and equipment is covered.
6 Safety and consideration
Please keep escape routes and exits clear for the whole time you use the space. Smoke detectors and other safety equipment must not be removed, covered or tampered with.
Open fire and fireworks are not allowed anywhere in the building. The one exception is candles on a birthday cake, as long as they are supervised the whole time and fully put out after being blown out. Smoking is only allowed on the terrace.
Be considerate of other people using the building. Events with music or other raised noise levels are generally possible here. However, trainings and photo shoots also take place along the corridor, so during the day we ask for particular consideration. Statutory noise regulations must be observed.
As organisers, you are responsible for running the event safely and for telling your participants the rules that apply to them. Any permits the event may need are your responsibility.
7 Keys and locking up
We agree the handover and return of keys with you in advance. Please keep the keys you are given safe and tell us straight away if they are lost. If you are responsible for losing a key, you bear the necessary cost of replacing it. Costs for changes to a locking system only arise if those changes are actually necessary and carried out.
After the event, you as organisers are responsible for closing the windows and carefully locking the rooms, the corridor and both building exits, upstairs and downstairs. As there have already been several break-ins, please check conscientiously that all doors are locked. As long as people are still in the building, the escape routes and exits must remain safely usable. If others are using the building at the same time, agree the locking up with us.
8 Individual agreements
Individual agreements take precedence over these rental terms. For additions and changes, see the email or the separate contract form.
